CECILIA POZO FILETI, MS, RD, FADA

Cecilia Pozo Fileti, a registered dietitian and fellow of the American Dietetic Association, is a nutrition and healthcare consultant serving the food, pharmaceutical and health care industries. Committed to bridging the knowledge and information gap in these industries, Mrs. Fileti was the first Hispanic spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association (ADA). She is a recipient of the ADA’s prestigious Medallion award and several peer reviewed honors. Her communications and regulatory response firm services a variety of Hispanic and non-Hispanic clients and industry leading organizations.

Ms. Fileti received her masters from Eastern Michigan University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton, Ohio and has various postgraduate certifications.

A national speaker and adjunct professor for Eastern Michigan University of Human Nutrition, Ms. Fileti coordinated nutrition education for medical students of the University of Michigan and allied health professions and continues as a lecturer at Michigan State University. Previously, she served as a Division Director for Clinical Nutrition, Department of Internal Medicine at Catherine McAuley Health Systems, and also as Nutrition Director for the College of Medicine and Dentistry, formerly United (Children’s) Hospital, New Jersey. Ms. Fileti created NutriCare, a health center and community based nutrition clinic, providing consumer education and service programs for children to seniors.

Published widely, Ms. Fileti has covered a range of topics, from pediatric nutrition issues to healthy lifestyle programs for consumers. She continues to be a content developer and often serves as a spokesperson with national and international media experience and outreach to diverse audiences. A current member of the Board of Director of the American Dietetic Association, past President of the Michigan Dietetic Association, and current President of the Latino and Hispanic American Dietetic Association, Ms. Pozo Fileti is an Advisory Board Member to the American Council for Fitness and Nutrition. She resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
