Highlighted Programs:

Kids Marathon (www.okcmarathon.com)
Description: The Kids Marathon, an extension of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, was started as a way to introduce children to the world of running while emphasizing the importance of getting regular exercise. Children ages 11 and under download a runner’s log when they register for the race and keep track of each mile they run prior to the marathon; each child accumulates 25 miles on their log by having a parent or teacher sign for each mile run. On the day of the Memorial Marathon, the kids will run the final 1.2 miles on a special course that will take them from the start to the finish of the full marathon.
