ACFN Advisory Board Member Appointed Chief Medical Officer

On January 17, Albert Barrocas, M.D., F.A.C.S., was appointed chief medical officer at South Fulton Medical Center in East Point, Ga. Dr. Barrocas has more than 30 years experience in direct patient care and health care management. As an expert leader on the ACFN Advisory Board, Dr. Barrocas shares a wealth of knowledge and expertise in nutrition and health.

“ We are proud to have Dr. Barrocas represented on our board and playing a significant role in ACFN activities and events. As an accomplished medical leader, he is fully deserving of this position and we entrust he will do great things for their community, “ said ACFN Chair Susan Finn, Ph.D., R.D., L.D., F.A.D.A.

Dr. Barrocas previously served as vice president of medical affairs at Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital in New Orleans, La. He also had his own private practice specializing in nutrition and general, thoracic and vascular surgery. Dr. Barrocas was a clinical professor of surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine.
