Executive Board Member Joins ACFN
ACFN is happy to announce that Deborah Louison, senior vice president, corporate affairs, Americas at Cadbury Schweppes, PLC has joined the ACFN Executive Board. Louison was recently promoted from vice president of government affairs in the Americas, and in addition to continuing to lead government affairs, industry issues and association relationships for the company’s Americas Beverages and Confectionery businesses; she will now direct corporate communication for Cadbury Schweppes Americas Confectionery and Cadbury Schweppes Americas corporate functions. “We are thrilled to have Deborah join our Executive Board,” said Susan Finn, Ph.D., R.D., L.D., F.A.D.A., chair, ACFN. “Her extensive background and expert knowledge in the arenas of public affairs and corporate affairs will be extremely valuable, and I look forward to her involvement.” Louison joined Cadbury Schweppes in April 2004 to lead the company's new public affairs office in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Cadbury Schweppes, Ms. Louison served eleven years as senior vice president and director, global services with APCO Worldwide Inc., a global public affairs consultancy headquartered in Washington, where her work focused on international clients in Russia, China and Europe. Additional experience over her 30-year career in public affairs includes work in state government, as legislative director for two members of the U.S. Congress, as director of federal affairs for the National Conference of State Legislatures, and as deputy assistant secretary for intergovernmental and public liaison with the U.S. Department of Energy. |
