‘INNOVATION IN PREVENTION’ AWARD RECIPIENTS DEMONSTRATE ALL SECTORS HAVE A ROLE IN SHAPING A HEALTHIER AMERICA

Dr. Susan Finn, chair of the American Council for Fitness and Nutrition, made the following statement regarding the recently announced honorees of HHS’ “Innovation in Prevention Awards:”

“The government, schools, parents, the food industry, other businesses and community leaders all have a role to play in contributing to overall health and wellness in America. The recently-announced honorees of the ‘Innovation in Prevention Awards,’ exemplify the effectiveness this type of broad collaboration can have in achieving a healthier America now and in the future. ACFN salutes this year’s award recipients as well as Secretary Tommy Thompson for their leadership in promoting prevention and encouraging the adoption of healthier lifestyles for all Americans.”
